And so i truly sympathize with Christopher Hitchens with his condition as a cancer-stricken patient. I'm quite impressed how he's able to put up a brave face being so pragmatic about his condition that his life will be soon over because of his ailment. However, i can also sense his angst and anxieties about his declared unbelief in God or in a divine being.
AGREE or DISAGREE?
He bluntly pointed out that religion poisons everything (made it the title of his book!). And yes, i agree religion does that especially for those who do not really know their religion. But i completely disagree that God is not Great. Religion puts God in a distance but RELATIONSHIP puts God close - so close that He talks to us face to face like how God talked with Moses.
I am praying for Christopher Hitchens' healing. I am praying that no matter how a true-bloodied Atheist he has become, the Greatness of God will fill that void in his heart and Jesus Christ will reveal His majesty in the life of Mr. Hitchens.
After all, God is not man that He should lie nor He should change His mind. That is why God is so GREAT!
