God is Not Great according to Atheist Hitchens

I can't imagine how a cancer victim feels going through this life threatening episode in their life. Whatever i'm thinking, it's just all but an understatement, perhaps, of what they truly go through.

And so i truly sympathize with Christopher Hitchens with his condition as a cancer-stricken patient. I'm quite impressed how he's able to put up a brave face being so pragmatic about his condition that his life will be soon over because of his ailment. However, i can also sense his angst and anxieties about his declared unbelief in God or in a divine being.

AGREE or DISAGREE?

He bluntly pointed out that religion poisons everything (made it the title of his book!). And yes, i agree religion does that especially for those who do not really know their religion. But i completely disagree that God is not Great. Religion puts God in a distance but RELATIONSHIP puts God close - so close that He talks to us face to face like how God talked with Moses.

I am praying for Christopher Hitchens' healing. I am praying that no matter how a true-bloodied Atheist he has become, the Greatness of God will fill that void in his heart and Jesus Christ will reveal His majesty in the life of Mr. Hitchens.

After all, God is not man that He should lie nor He should change His mind. That is why God is so GREAT!

I love Prof. STHEPHEN HAWKING!

I love Professor Stephen Hawking! I'm amazed with his brilliant theses on science, physics and mathematics and the universe. His genius is unparalleled - I don't think anybody can match up with him!

Given his disability, his genius and his global influence, I would love for him to meet Dana so my daughter can speak with him about how much Jesus loves him!

Transformers 3 Review!

My daughter Dana really belongs to the Transformers Generation!

What can i say! Her journal says it all - transforming people lives for God!

2 thumbs up for this sneek peak at Dana's passion for Jesus!

Emmy's Red Carpet and GLEE!

I'm rooting for Glee! So is my family who are mesmerized by the production since it all started 3 months ago.

Can't wait to see Charice belts it out w/ Rachel, Mercedes and even Kurt!

Cheap Flights to China!

I'm tempted to treat my family to a Christmas vacation in China more so now that a budget airline just offered an almost irresistible very low fare to major cities in China.

But what can i do? Even if i can financially afford to spend for a meaningful family Christmas vacation where my kids will enjoy their first ever snow experience - that is if it snows in Beijing in December - the fall out from the recent and horrible hostage taking of Chines/HK nationals in Manila prevents me from doing so.

Not that i fear of experiencing the same ordeal in Beijing or any other Chinese city, because for sure it's a lot safer there than in Manila. However, i'd rather wait for emotions to settle down and finally visit the beautiful cities of my ancestors and showcase it to my kids!

It's Pacquiao vs. Mayweather!

im aghast to learn that the pacquiao-mayweather fight won't push through. Money - mayweather's nickname - didn't bother to respond to the offer despite all previous issues were already addressed during their recent meetings.

still, it's not too late...

-----------------------------------------------------------

and i'm now a full-bloodied charice fan! just watch her glee audition video over you tube and you'll be blown away at how effortless she sang Beyonce's HALO and those notes and pitch change. Man! AWESOME! Wonderful. I had goosebumps all over. Can't wait to watch glee season 2 and charice's concerts!

waiting

so much for today's wait and see game. excitement fizzled out as most anticipated results fell short.

so how do you wait? today's waiting game proved to be a revelation. previous anxiety attacks associated with waiting and the perceived "torturous" wait didn't haunt me at all.

ok, the results were not really encouraging - my citruses turned yellow when it reached my buyer. he ordered matured green not dried yellow. the consultancy opportunity i was waiting for is still out of reach - contact person was surprised (i thought oblivious) that there's no formal offer yet.

and yet inspite of these, i was as calm as i can be - business as usual! good thing i was able to now slowly understand the word perseverance. what's the word again? ok it means if nothing happens, the world doesn't end. period.
